All attendees, speakers, sponsors and staff at events organized by Implicit-Explicit and Container Solutions are subject to these community guidelines and Code of Conduct.
We know you are busy, so here is what it boils down to: We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone and we do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form.
The Software Circus is about being inclusive; “Come one, come all” means being considerate of others and behaving respectfully when interacting with other participants. Offensive behaviour includes, but is not limited to, harassing animals or attendees.
Likewise, offensive verbal comments related to:
- gender identity or expression
- sexual orientation
- physical appearance
- body size
- deliberate intimidation
- harassing photography or recording
- sustained disruption of talks or other events
- inappropriate physical contact
…are deemed inappropriate for any event venue, no matter if you are in the Big Top or one of the smaller tents.
Audience members violating these rules may, at the discretion of the Dompteur, get to enjoy a disappearing act, without refund.
Should you be experiencing a potentially unsafe situation, please inform a member of the organization immediately so we can address your concern.
Next to speaking to a staff member, you can also reach via email at email@example.com or by phone, WhatsApp, iMessage and text message via 0031-6-13248938. Additionally, organizers at the event are happy to help you, as well.
Please note: the above details are meant for reporting incidents relating to the event. In case of life-threatening situations, please contact the local authorities via the Dutch national emergency number 112.
This Code of Conduct was inspired by Docker, Inc. and Julien Barber’s earlier work. Additional credits go to Puppet Labs, 01.org and meego.com for forming the starting point for many of these guidelines.
